Don Beck - Spiral Dynamics and the Palestine/Israel Conflict
Don Beck - Spiral Dynamics and the Palestine/Israel Conflict
www.IntegralLife.com Eleanor Roosevelt once said that "poor minds discuss people, average minds discuss events, and great minds discuss ideas." Integral minds, we might add, discuss all three. In the Integral Profiles series, host Jeff Salzman sits down with some of today's most notable thinkers, teachers, and leaders, discussing the many ways they are catalyzing the Integral vision in their lives, in their hearts, and in their work. These men and women are collectively defining the leading edge of evolution in today's world, their thoughts and actions actively influencing the shape and scope of tomorrow's possibilities. Here Don offers an intimate glimpse into his own life and career. He discusses the current phase of his work: traveling the world and applying Spiral Dynamics to various geo-political "hotspots" all over the planet. He offers his own ideas about healthy models of society, the crucial distinction between stages of consciousness and the contents of those stages, and the importance of preserving many of the early stages of development that are so often seen as primitive and obsolete. He then goes into considerable depth around the specifics of the Palestine-Israel conflict, describing the needs and problems on both sides of the divide, his hands-on involvement with both nations, and the remarkable receptivity with which his work has been met. At a time when tensions in the Middle East can seem so hopelessly combustible, it is encouraging to see Integral ...

INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS DISCUSS EU APPROACH TO CASPIAN REGION
Azerbaijan National and International Studies Center held an international conference on "The EU approach towards the Caspian: soft power or realpolitik". "Over the past three years, research groups have studied EU policy and the realities in the Mediterranean, Baltic, Black and Caspian Sea regions .The studies covered security, energy security, free access to domestic market, visa regimes, and attitudes towards democracy and human rights," said the head of the Center Leyla Aliyeva. According to the coordinator of EU4SEAS organization Jordi Vaquer, democracy was a priority in the Baltic Sea Region in 2007, and in Black Sea Region in 2008. " However, the Russian-Georgian war in 2008 showed democracy in conflict with military force in this region. There are two approaches to democracy in the Caspian Sea Region: development of sovereign democracy, and democratic development via the influence of other regions' democractic systems. The improvement of management in this region is important. These issues must be considered based on the countries' geo-political and domestic contexts," he argued. At the same time, experts consider that changes to the international political scene have given rise to new approaches to these issues. " These changes will pave the way for new approaches," said expert Carmen Claudin. According to a professor at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Nasib Nasibli, the EU has a demonstrated interest in energy and global security in the Capsian Sea ...

From their own mouth, The New World Order fears one thing, a NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION, OPENING A CAN OF WHOOP ASS and CARRYING OUT THE PENALTY FOR TREASON! Brzezinski Decries "Global Political Awakening" During CFR Speech Trilateral Commission co-founder says infighting amongst elite, combined with awakening of humanity worldwide, is hampering move towards one world government Paul Joseph Watso...n Prison Planet.com Wednesday, May 19, 2010 At a recent Council on Foreign Relations speech in Montreal, co-founder with David Rockefeller of the Trilateral Commission and regular Bilderberg attendee Zbigniew Brzezinski warned that a "global political awakening," in combination with infighting amongst the elite, was threatening to derail the move towards a one world government. Brzezinski explained that global political leadership had become "much more diversified unlike what it was until relatively recently," noting the rise of China as a geopolitical power, and that global leadership in the context of the G20 was "lacking internal unity with many of its members in bilateral antagonisms." In other words, the global elite is infighting amongst itself and this is hampering efforts to rescue the agenda for global government, which seems to be failing on almost every front. Brzezinski then explained another significant factor in that, "For the first time in all of human history mankind is politically awakened -- that's a total new reality -- it has not been so for most of human ...

www.insaf.pk "All our national life stooges of the past and present colonial masters have led us. Their contribution has been merely to mortgage our children's future and short change our dignity by making compromises under the guise of the much-abused supreme national interest." Our Ideology As a nation we cannot progress as long as our economy depends on handouts from international lenders and donors. The policies of international lenders have strangulated the capacity of the ordinary citizen to live a life of dignity. We must strive for self-reliance. The goal of self-reliance does not in any way imply that we isolate ourselves from the global economy. It only shows our conviction that by restoring the trust of the people in public institutions we can harness their potential and mobilize them for a better tomorrow. We offer a new and credible leadership that is committed to restoring Pakistan's political and economic sovereignty by building a new bond of trust between the government and the people. Only through the active participation of the people can we collectively mobilize our human and material resources to forge ahead on the road to a confident and self-reliant nation. We are committed to political stability through credible democracy, transparency in government and accountability of leadership. We believe in federalism and functional autonomy to the provinces. The World's Next Supermodel
With America's version of capitalism seemingly heading for bankruptcy, is there a crisis-proof economic model that can shape the 21st century? icarusfilms.com In THE WORLD'S NEXT SUPERMODEL, three prominent thinkers argue for competing economic models. Kishore Mahbubani, author of The New Asian Hemisphere, pitches the Asian model, characterized by the economic successes of China, India and Singapore. Wouter Bos, Dutch Minister of Finance, claims that the values of the European model are superior, while Brazilian economist Marcelo Neri praises the economic success of his country. The proposals for these models are discussed by a jury consisting of macro-economist Willem Buiter, professor at the London School of Economics, New America Foundation's Parag Khanna, an expert analyst of global geopolitical issues, and author and Yale law and globalization professor Amy Chua. www.icarusfilms.com

Prof. David Passig briefly describes his book titled "2048"
Why nations are fighting each other? What drives leaders to decide whether to send troops to war or sign a peace accord? What goes into the mind of parents while sending their children to battle? What is the most important factor that brings triumph or collapse in battlefields? Large libraries have been written on these historical enigmas attempting to understand what happened post factum. However, just a few have tried to analyze their vectors in the 21st century. Prof. Passig engages in these vectors with great courage and simple language. He delves in these issues in order to identify the large confrontations of the first half of the 21st century and zooms in to identify how these geopolitical trends would be reflected in the Middle East and in the Israeli-Arab conflict. Passig presents in this book a theory that runs counter conventional wisdom arguing that not the economy of a state, nor its values, its ethnic fabric, and its religion that marks the future of its national security. It is primarily, the alignment of its land that represents its geography and its borders that shape its future. These alignments mold its perception of power and drive its population toward confrontations that would shape their future. They are the primarily factors that define their history for best and worst. According to the geographical theory in the heart of this book, humans and their leaders would be driven in the 21st century again with a great paralyzing force of territorial ...

"I think we're headed for another crash" that could be worse than the one in 2008, based on factors such as the European debt crisis, he said. Like the US, Europe also has a huge problem with real estate values collapsing, and he foresees bank failures coming there. In America, with the Federal Reserve, we "outsourced our monetary policy to a bunch of private bankers," who avoid being audited, and have bailed out the upper echelon while ignoring most everyone else, he said. Hunter believes within the next year and a half we'll see a war between Israel and Iran, and the US and Europe will get dragged into it. China, and possibly Russia would be on Iran's side, because they are big trading partners, he noted. Iran may have already smuggled in nukes from North Korea or Pakistan, he added. Neil deGrasse Tyson - 2006 Beyond Belief: Science, Reason, Religion & Survival
Neil deGrasse Tyson - 2006 Beyond Belief: Science, Reason, Religion & Survival
Just 40 years after a famous TIME magazine cover asked "Is God Dead?" the answer appears to be a resounding "No!" According to a survey by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life in a recent issue of Foreign Policy magazine, "God is Winning". Religions are increasingly a geopolitical force to be reckoned with. Fundamentalist movements - some violent in the extreme - are growing. Science and religion are at odds in the classrooms and courtrooms. And a return to religious values is widely touted as an antidote to the alleged decline in public morality. After two centuries, could this be twilight for the Enlightenment project and the beginning of a new age of unreason? Will faith and dogma trump rational inquiry, or will it be possible to reconcile religious and scientific worldviews? Can evolutionary biology, anthropology and neuroscience help us to better understand how we construct beliefs, and experience empathy, fear and awe? Can science help us create a new rational narrative as poetic and powerful as those that have traditionally sustained societies? Can we treat religion as a natural phenomenon? Can we be good without God? And if not God, then what? This is a critical moment in the human situation, and The Science Network in association with the Crick-Jacobs Center brought together an extraordinary group of scientists and philosophers to explore answers to these questions. The conversation took place at the Salk Institute, La Jolla, CA from November 5-7, 2006. Visit ...
